The Finnish concept 'Sisu' fits perfectly to this table's description: determination and bravery even when success is against the odds. A 'U' shape holds this table together forming a dynamic and asymmetrical piece. Pair it with the Kyst, Lyre or Laengsel chairs for a complete Nordic dining experience.
On the shores of a lake in Halland, Sweden, this countryside retreat was designed from the ground up by Længsel and furnished throughout with the brand's own collection, a meeting of Swedish vernacular architecture, steep pitched gables and timber slats, with contemporary comfort. At the heart of the dining room stands the Sisu Dining Table in a deep dark-grey finish, its rhythmic "U"-shaped structure framed by a subtle lighter inlay. "Sisu" is the Finnish concept of serene strength, and the table embodies exactly that grounded presence. Around it, slatted birch chairs in deep green echo the forest beyond the glass. Crafted in sustainable birch, it is a true Nordic retreat.
